Jennifer K. Harbury is an American lawyer, author, and human rights activist. Her primary area of work with the Tias is at one of the migrant shelters in Reynosa. There she speaks with migrants about their stories –what they have gone through in their home countries and what has happened to them in their efforts to find safety—and she works to find attorneys who can help them. She makes sure the Tias are aware of changes in the law and helps the group present the issues to the rest of the world.  Jennifer closely monitors and reports on ongoing human rights violations, documenting changes, identifying legal violations, reporting to interamerican groups as well as national networks and leaders.  She also assists migrants in finding needed support, such as sponsors in the United States.
